LINK YOUR AADHAR CARD AND PAN CARD JUST BY SENDING SMS

NEW WAY TO LINK AADHAR CARD TO PAN CARD

 

 

Importance of Aadhar Card and PAN Card is gaining momentum day by day.  Now Government is focusing on linking these two for various reasons.  The Income Tax Deptt has added one more tool in the toolkit for linking these two cards through SMS. 

Here is how-to of DIY: 

• Send following SMS to 567678 or 56161 
• UIDPAN<12 digit Aadhaar Card Number><10 digit PAN Card Number>

Example: 1. UIDPAN<Space><999999999999><Space><AAAAA9999A>, 
                 2. UIDPAN  123456789101 ABCDEXYZMO

This facility is useful only for those PANCARD holders who have exactly the same name as that on the Aadhaar Card.

The Unique Identification Authority of India will, if there is no discrepancy in the number of the cards and name, link the cards and send the confirmation message.

Linking via SMS is an additional facility for linking the above cards.  

You can, as hitherto, also link the cards through Income Tax Department website:- www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in
